A WORD ON DIET…

Would you ever consider putting sugar water in the gas tank of your car? Then why do you suppose, do many people today not consider the appropriate”gas” our body needs to fuel itself?

Of course in our case, fuel or nutrition to support an body functions is at times confusing and conflicting for some, due to presentation, lifestyle, tradition and economy. The main idea and facts to remember here is that the better we want our body to perform, last, and look is a direct result of what we feed into it through food and nutrition. There are three very basic rules for a healthy, nutritional diet:

1. Variety
2. Balance
3. Moderation

Variety means it is important to include many different foods from each level of the Food Pyramid because no one single food can supply all the nutrients our bodies need on a daily basis.
Balance means that you must eat the right amounts of foods from the variety of levels of the Food Pyramid daily. This ensures getting the caloric intake and nutrients you need for growth, development and body system function.
Moderation means to be careful not to eat too much of any one type of food. In the fast paced world we live in today, where getting the proper amount of nutrition our bodies need daily is a supreme challenge, supplements are an excellent way of support in getting what we need to maintain good health
